OCCASSIONAL PAPERS
Occasional paper is a new form of publications that the Institute has just introduced. They are published in a pamphlet form. They cover variety of themes ranging from land reforms to commentaries on general issues like the role of civil Society organizations and the like.
These are also widely distributed in libraries of higher learning institutions, public libraries and in the information centers for civil society organizations. They are educational, awareness raising and occasionally training materials.
One thousand copies (1,000) are produced quarterly with a view to increase the copies and editions in to monthly.
The latest edition was authored by the famous Professor of law at the University of Dare s salaam, Professor Issa Shivji who is also the founding member and director of the Institute. He discussed on the "Silences in the NGOs discourses: the role and future of NGOs in Africa. The full text of the paper is available on request from the Institute.
