ARDHI NI UHAI NEWSLETTER

ARDHI NI UHAI is a quarterly news magazine which publishes various land issues ranging from hard features to opinion and views from readers. It also consists of soft news in form of cartoons, activist stories, poems and readers views column.

Initially, some of the information that is being disseminated through the newsletter was limited to few internet subscribers and hard news readers in programme areas. The base of this readership was too small. Since the introduction of this form of publication in 2004, the Institute has widely broadened its coverage and readership base to some rural areas where no other forms of publications are distributed even by other organizations.

ARDHI NI UHAI is produced quarterly with at least 1,000 copies per edition which makes 4,000 copies per annum. Feedbacks from programme areas where more copies are distributed reveal an increasing demand for more copies.

We are proud to find out that our newsletter has become one of the effective and reliable means of information dissemination to the public and a channel to track feed back from the progarmme areas. This is especially true in view of the fact that most rural based residents with whom the Institute works, prefer simply packaged and user friendly information materials than hard books.

The biggest challenge for the Institute is to increase the number of copies per edition and maintain quality of the content.
